Thai Ridgeback Dog is the breed with limited gen pool not even within one country but all over the world. So you should look futher before getting into breed. You must understnad that you have very poor chances to find a good stud dog ( not even excelent) next door. So you should travel a lot for research and breeding. It is not enough to find nice pics in Internet of stud dog. because pictures are never show the whole truth. besides they do not much tell you about the temperament or character of the dog. Of course due to some photos you or videos you can understand that the dog is overshy or have another problems. But you can’t be sure in it.

So when you go for a rare breed you will have more difficulties in breeeding comparing with a more common breed. breeding at all is not a cheap hobby but breeding rare breed is much more expencieve. As I wrote you have to travel a lot before and observe studs dogs before choosing one of them. Then you should go for many kilometres with bitch in heat to mate them. And often such matings when bitch is in stress lead to no results at all. In such situation bitch can even stop heat. So you need to stay in foreign country for much more time than you have planned. Another way you can import frozen sperm. But it is also not a cheap at all. If you can’t import dogs or sperm or travel better do not go for rare breed.
